On 5/14/2025, Li-Cycle Holdings Corp, Li-Cycle Corp., Li-Cycle Americas Corp., Li-Cycle U.S. Inc., Li-Cycle Inc., Li-Cycle North America Hub, Inc. (collectively, “Li-Cycle” or the “Applicants”) filed an application to the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List) (the “Court”) for Protection from their Creditors under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (the “CCAA”).
Alvarez & Marsal Canada Inc. was appointed as the Monitor of the business and financial affairs of the Applicants.
Concurrent with the CCAA filing, Li-Cycle Holdings Corp (case #25-10991), along with its US subsidiaries, filed Chapter 15 Bankruptcy Petitions with the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York for recognition of the CCAA proceedings as a foreign main proceeding.
